
RICHARD LOYSON
Richard graduated from the University of Port Elizabeth in 2006 with an Honours degree in Accounting. In 2009 he completed his Masters degree in Taxation and in 2010 qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He commenced his articles in 2007 with the firm PriceWaterHouseCoopers.
During his articles at PriceWaterHouseCoopers, he joined the taxation department and worked there for 2 years. In March 2010, Richard joined Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan University as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Accounting specialising in Accounting and Taxation.
Richard has 8 years experience over a wide range of clients in the auditing, accounting and taxation fields. He is passionate about tax and delivering a good quality researched service to his clients. He specialises in Local and International Tax and his thesis for his Masters was titled “A critical analysis of the income tax implications of persons ceasing to be a resident in South Africa”.
On a personal note, Richard enjoys sport such as squash and cricket and spending time with family and friends.
